Used 1999 Toyota Camry Sedan Consumer Reviews
KICK YOUR HEELS FOR TOYOTA
I HAVE HAD MANY OF AMERICAN CRAFTED CARS WITH IMPORTED PARTS. THEY START TO DETERIATE THEY MOMENT YOU MOVE OFF OF THE DEALERSHIP SALES LOT. I HAVE HAD CHRYSLER, FORD AND GENERAL MOTORS PRODUCTS. NONE OF THEM COMPARE WITH THE RELIABLITY THAT TOYOTA CAN PROVIDE. THE COST OF MAINTAINING THIS CAR HAS GONE DOWN FROM $5,325.00 TO JUST AND OIL CHANGE AND NEW TIRES.
Dina's Review
My Camry has been the best car that I've owned. I really haven't put many miles on my car but enough to know that it's a great car. The only thing that I haven't liked about the Camry is the tires that came on it when I bought it new. The tires need made the car ride rough and caused loud road noise.
A little Disappointed
This is my 2nd Camry. I got almost 300K on my previous model before I had any major problems at all. The transmission had trouble. Unfortunately this one is not fairing as well. The vehicle is well maintained and serviced, but at 188,000 I've had to replace transmission seals, gaskets, and there is an engine oil leak the continues to come back and now the power steering rack is leaking. It's starting to get very sluggish, too. I would still purchase another Camry, but this one has been disappointing.
Bland, and almost great
Had it since new. Style, compared to the new camry or older Accords is too plain. Engine/Trans doing fine at 87000, but Struts have been making strange noises since 25K, and brakes are always squeaking. Interior plastic is warping, but cloth is fine.
Typical Toyota
Typical Toyota- not incredibly exciting, but well built and cheap to maintain. This is our 2nd Toyota and we plan on a 3rd (lease ending soon). I can't imagine buying another American make after the terrific experience we've had with this Toyota.
