Used 1993 Toyota Camry Consumer Reviews
It May Be the End
I bought it used at 177,000 for the original owner. It had been well maintained. It only needs regular oil changed and tune ups, the power in this car is great, and I have to say that it's okay on gas. I've been rear- ended twice with no need to go to a body shop. Now at 277,000 the transmission is going and I think I have to buy a new car, but this car has taken me everywhere I fancied with absolutely no problem.
1993 Toyota Camry 4CYL Automatic
I bought the car with 131000 on it and i have had it about 4 months and it has had no issues, besides new tires, oil changes, a tranny flush(expensive but i recommend it), and i need to convert the r12 refrigerent it is amazing. not the best mpg in town, abt 21-23 solid in-town driving. the cv boots cracked and im going to do new brakes wile i have it apart but we will see i hope its going to last 300 if i keep taking care of it.

A great vehicle!
We have owned this wagon since it was new. Often we have thought of trading for a new wagon, but there just doesn't seem to be anything comparable in the same size and price range. Here we are 13 years later and still waiting for a wagon as roomy, powerful, reliable and economical as the Camry! Current resale is around 2500.00, what a joke! This car is such a value vs. the cost of a Volvo or Audi, I guess we will just keep on ridin'. Someone please start making wagons like this again!
They are long life cars
I had a 91 Camry LE V6 wagon for 10 years with aprox 190,000 miles. I put 150,000 more on it. Of course I had to replace some things, it was my only car, driven every day. I paid 1200.00 for it spent about 2000.00 over the years. That totals 3200.00 but divided up over time tells the story. I would still be driving it were it not for an accident that totaled it a few months ago. Also like to mention that I came through the accident unharmed. While shopping for another car I found a 1993 Camry LE V6 deluxe wagon with 125,000 miles, pretty much like a new car, It's my new car now!!!!

Not what it's cracked up to be
I have spent a lot of money on this car in repairs. It never seems to end every time I fix something another thing breaks. Transmission went bad at 103.000 miles over $1,800 to fix. 2 cv axles went bad at 67.000 miles. Water pump needed replacement at 71.000 miles along with the timing belt, tensioner, radiator went at 91,504 miles, now car has developed a major oil leak at 113,000 miles and was told its leaking from the head gasket a cost of $900.00 from day one this car makes all kinds of noise when cold out something to do with bushings in the front and rear. It has a 4 cylinder motor which only gets 12 miles to a gallon. My next car will not be a Toyota. I'm thinking of a Nissan altima
