Used 2006 Toyota Avalon Consumer Reviews
What a Car
With 10,000 miles behind me, I'm still in awe driving what I consider to be the best car I have ever owned. Even though it's heavier then the 04 it gets better gas mileage. I haven't had one problem with this car. When I get into some of my friends cars, a Mercedes or Acura RL (no room in back seat) I can't understand why they cost more. This is the best bargain out there, and trust me, it's a luxury car minus the name plate. Maybe we should keep this to ourselves so Toyota doesn't jack the price up. What a smooth riding car.
Front Seats
The front seats are most uncomfortable. It feels like a metal rail is in the middle of the seat that presses upward toward the tail bone. Outside wind noise is somewhat abated from earlier models but should be much better since the car has been re-engineered. The JVC's 12-speaker sound system is fair. My 4-year old GM car's sound system puts this to shame.

100% Pure Class
Try it, - you'll like it. Just traded in my 2004 Solara for the big Toyota. My family and friend love the roominess in the rear. I love the power and the distinguished appearance. I have the black with the ivory interior. Bee-yoo-tee-ful!!
Toyota Delivers!
As always, you can see and feel the oustanding workmanship in Toyota cars, and the redesigned Avalon is no exception. Great ride, both in comfort and road handling. Agree with the reviewer who said the luxury of a Lexus without the high price tag. The JBL 12 speaker sound system is impresive and so is the engine - 268 HP!, better than the 255 HP Maxima I replaced. Also, I can't believe this high horse power engine can be satisfied with regular unleaded gas. WOW! Talk about efficiency and good MPG.
Impressive and a steal
Have had the car for 1 week and its been a great experience. I would recommend this car to family. Can't go wrong. The price point makes sense. You get a lot for your $$$. They actually redesigned this car to have its own character... not a bigger Camry.
