Great SUV!!!
By wb07 on

1997 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4dr SUV 4WD

I decided to sell my Mustang to get
something I could drive 30,000 miles or
more per year in snowy/rainy weather. I
bought a 4Runner & loved it! It was fun
to drive in all seasons; it was very
reliable for my long commute; the
highway visibility was SO much better
than in my Mustang. In the snow, it was
wonderful. I think there was one
occasion all winter where I slid on an
icy bridge, but overall, the push-
button 4WD is great. Sadly, my 4Runner
was recently totaled in an accident-
not my fault. I plan to buy another one
as soon as possible & I highly
recommend a 4x4 LTD 4Runner to anyone
who is looking for a sharp, reliable,
fun SUV.

Best Features

Sliding Rear Window- awesome!!!; Leather Seats; Easy fold-down rear bench seats for hauling lawn mowers, etc; Fabulous Paint (Black) looked BRAND NEW every time I washed it; Push Button 4WD; Smooth ride at 120,000 miles; kept me unharmed when I broadsided a Ford pickup at 40 mph

Worst Features

Power Antenna died & made a terrible grinding sound every time ignition started; had a mysterious exhaust odor at certain times, but nobody could tell me why; cupholders are unbelievably awful; Dash/Display/Odomoter seems antiquated for a 1997- Overall, a great vehicle to own
