I saw Superior Toyota's online advertisement for a new 2022 Toyota Highlander with $3000.00 off sticker, which was cheaper than any used one I had seen. I thought it was too good to be true but when they followed up about my inquiry I discovered it was in fact true and available. Gage was prompt and awesome at sending pics and answering any questions I had. The buying process was painless and they even delivered to my house in NC. So far dealing with Thomas’s has been a nightmare! We aren’t satisfied with how Thomas has handled our entire car buying process/experience! The 1st Forester we ordered, put a deposit down, & given an approximate date of arrival; however, they let our car go to the Cumberland, Md dealership & it was sold, and no one called to tell me! I had not heard anything from our salesman in a very long time, I called the dealership & asked to speak to a manager. The gentleman who answered stated his name was Mike & he was a manager, & he’d help figure it out. He said he’d call back later that day, if I hadn’t heard back from him, I should call him. When I called him back later that day, he said the car had been sent to the Cumberland, Md dealership & had been sold. He apologized & asked if he could look for us another car. I told him it had to be exactly like the one we had ordered.  I also told him that because of the expected delivery date we were told, we sold the car the weekend before our car was to arrive. I stated that because they sold our car, and they couldn’t find another one & we were willing to give them another chance to order another SUV I felt that they should provide us with 1 of their rentals until our new SUV came in. Mike was able to make that happen. We ordered another 2022 Subaru Forester & then had a long wait for it to be built & shipped to us. There was literally NO communication from our salesman to us from the evening we placed the order, put money down, & left the dealership, none whatsoever until he called saying it had arrived! We set up an evening to pick up the SUV so my husband & I both could be present . We started going over a ton of paperwork, but I suggested that we pause that and go test drive the car because it was starting to get dark, on the verge of losing all daylight when I drove it. By the time we got back to the dealership, it was dark. We went over a few of the buttons/functions, then walked around the car in the dark, checked out the trunk area with the flashlight on my phone. We went inside, finished up the paperwork, & got the inside of the car scotch guarded, & was put on the list to get the car under coated, the gentleman who did that apparently had just came back after having Covid so we were told it was going to be a few weeks (going on 7 weeks & still waiting), it was approximately 8:40 pm when we left the dealership, very dark outside! We took the car home, parked it in an empty garage & it remained there for 2 weeks, waiting on it to be under coated. However, I had no choice but to drive the car because my husband was at work with our other car & I had an appointment scheduled by my Neurosurgeon. It was in the light of day that I was able to see scratches that ran across the hood from the drivers side of the hood clear across to the passenger side. I immediately called Thomas Subaru and spoke with the salesman, Chris. I told him I was bringing the car in for them to look at it. After looking at it he asked me to bring it back in the next day and said he’d have someone there to buff it. I did so, per his request; however, it did not remove or fix the scratches. ! He asked me if I was satisfied with it, & my response was, “No, I’m not satisfied with it! I paid for a brand new SUV, not one that came with scratches”  I told him I needed them to make it right & fix my car. He then got his manager, Don, who agreed that buffing wasn’t going to remove those deep scratches. The manager said he would have to speak with his manager and that he or someone would be reaching out to us. To this date, NO ONE from Thomas’s Subaru or any other Thomas’s dealerships have reached out to us regarding the scratches on the hood of my new SUV. That was on Thursday, 1 week later we still had heard nothing from Thomas’s, So, my husband & I went in & asked to speak with Don’s manager to see what was going on.  We spoke to Wes, who was familiar with the situation, as he had read an email regarding about it, & he asked if he could go look at the car and he confirmed with his fingernail that the scratches were too deep to buff out & they were still completely across the hood & he went to speak to the upper manager & came back & said that our Salesman, Chris & the CEO were talking & that Chris should be back to us the next day, which was Friday. I waited until the following Tuesday, & nothing, so I called Wes, since that’s what he directed me to do.   I left Wes a voicemail, but didn’t hear back, so I finally called Subaru Corporation to ask how to file a complaint because I’m so tired of getting the run around & the total lack of communication between Thomas’s & their buyers! I have spoke to Subaru Corporation 4 times, the associate, Brianna, has called Thomas’s Subaru asking to speak with the General Manager, but she was sent to voicemail & to date there has not been a returned call to her. According to Subaru, the dealership is the one who needs to come up with a solution of how to remedy the situation. As I told the Subaru Corporate Associate, I’m now scared that if something mechanical goes wrong that I’m going to get the run around, or that they’ll partly fix it and ask me if I’m okay with it? Customer Service is a huge thing in a dealership, a customer should never have to worry or have fears wondering if the dealership is going to stand behind the cars they sale, & wonder if they will repair & fix anything that becomes problematic. I just want Thomas to stand behind this car they sold my husband & I and correct this issue! Sad thing, Thomas’s will lose many lifelong customers from our family & friends because of they are failing to do the right thing & fix our car. A contractor, named Jen who meets with you to go over all the buttons & features inside the car said she would try to see what was going on about the scratches by calling the Manager. She text messaged to say that the manager said it was under review with Subaru. This is absolutely not the truth because as of yesterday, Thomas’s had not gotten back to Brianna at Subaru Corporate So I say, save yourself the heartache, go to Stuckey’s or Spangler Subaru if you’re in the market for a Subaru. I’ve never been so disappointed in a car dealership in my life. Mark Thomas what is going on with your dealerships???

2020 Highlander advertised on Edmunds AND the dealer's own website for about $34,400. After taking a test drive and getting a trade-in offer on my car they drop an offer in my lap for about $38,200 - padded with almost $4,000 for LoJack and "Certification". Now go find any mention of that in the online advertising - nope, it's nowhere to be found. Basically, you can NOT buy the car for the price they advertise you can by the car for. So I wasted about 100 miles and 3 hours driving time plus another hour in the dealership. Fast forward two weeks. I've gotten 4 e-mails and no fewer than 6 phone calls, so I decide to call back and see if they have gotten serious about making a deal. Nope. Not budging. OK, then stop emailing me. It's now 1 month and they just tried to email me again: Spam Folder. Wouldn't trust these guys with the keys to the outhouse.
