2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek Premium 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl 5M)

The Crosstrek "limited" offers only two stereo head units-the standard unit w/o Satellite capability and the NAV system with SAT. As satellite users for several years, we made a dreadful mistake in buying this SUV without making sure the "Limited" version had SAT.
Adding a mobile car unit is "cheesy" and takes up more room especially if you have a "Garmin" on the dash. An aftermarket unit can be quite pricey and can range $500-$1800 including installation.
Our local Subaru dealer quoted $4500 for a new Subaru factory NAV system if available and requiring a new antenna if wiring is possible. Would have given up leather seats for cloth in order to get SAT.

Best Features

Just owned for three months, but so far Just fine for the purpose purchased including: AWD for snow, gas mileage, handling, adequate power and acceleration, smaller and less expensive than Outback alternative as a second car.

Worst Features

Obviously SAT in every head unit with using only one AM/FM/SAT antenna. Leave it up to the purchaser to subscribe to Sirius/XM! Improved backup camera for image quality and better position for keeping it clean. Overhead Sunglass holder, optional electric 6-8 seats. iPod/iPhone power/aux inputs in storage under dashboard. Currently, the inputs are in bottom of the console and awkward/difficult for access. Devise a way for the rear folding seats to lay flat. Otherwise, very pleased with the vehicle!

I completely agree with carscientious. I just picked up my Crosstrek Limited after owning a Kia Sorento. No SAT radio, no remote start, no head air bags and no back up assist for the same price as my Kia. I am stuck now for three years so it better have great gas mileage.
