Shaking steering wheel
By Shaked not stirred on

2011 Subaru Legacy 2.5i 4dr Sedan AWD (2.5L 4cyl CVT)

Dealer said it would be go away after few 100 miles but still persistent. Roadforce balancing, and changing steering wheel part haven't fixed the shakes.

Best Features

Exterior Style. CVT is better than 4 speed auto from last model.

Worst Features

Subaru needs to fix the shaking cars

Have you checked your tires for flat spots - I had that problem and the dealer took a long time to advise as they did not want to change all five tires (including the spare)! My steering or rather the front bit used to vibrate when the car hit over 110km/hr.

@user3 Roadforce balancing would detect flat spots on the tires. I had a new Jetta ('06) with 3 of the 4 Continental tires failed the roadforce balance test. Continental replaced all 4.
