2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Limited AWD 4dr Wagon (2.5L 4cyl Turbo 5A)

My wife had a 2k GT wagon that we
replaced w/this one. All the issues I
had w/the 2k (plain interior, road
noise, inability to get out of it's own
way) were addressed by the 05.
Dynamically, the car is easily equal to
many more expensive cars (we had a
brief affair w/a 2k S4 avant- the subie
is nearly as nice and about 120x more
reliable). The design is nice, the
ride and noise are well-controlled,
power is excellent. Really a stellar
deal for the price.

Best Features

Excellent drivetrain, enormous sunroof, swanky new looks, much-improved interior, overall improvement in quality. Just off-beat enough to make people wonder what just blasted by them on 2 lane roads as they blunder along at 10 mph under the limit yammering on their cell phone.

Worst Features

Cloth interior option, STi version (surely in the works) grippier seats (perhaps a cloth option for the LTD?) and I am not sure the climate control system is an improvement over the good old-fashioned HVAC controls. The stock bridgeston RE92's are nearly criminal. Better elbow support for trips.
