Great New England Car for the Money

Vehicle2013 Subaru Impreza 2.0i Sport Premium PZEV 4dr Hatchback AWD (2.0L 4cyl CVT)
ReviewTraded up from a POS 98 Explorer. Overall, I am pleased with the car. AWD provides great grip. I've yet to hear a tire squeal. Speaking of which, these stock tires are awful. Tons of noise. CVT takes some getting used to. I don't like the delays between drive and reverse. Get the upgraded speakers, worth it. I do wish there were more storage places & hidden cubbies. Sound insulation isn't great, but this isn't a luxury vehicle. Decent MPG if you treat it right. Getting around 34, 70% hwy. The MPG gauge is a little optimistic by a few MPG's. Bluetooth kind of sucks, but its fine for calls. AWD, MPG, visibility and good dynamics makes me a happy owner. Great car for the money.
Best FeaturesFull time AWD Easy to find comfortable driving position Seats reasonably comfortable Cargo space Options: rear seat back protectors, cargo tray, all weather mats, remote starter, dimming mirror. Great visibility Nimble, if a little numb, handling Soaks up bumps really well Shifter paddles are cool, but somewhat useless for a 2.0L Good MPG if you just take it easy on the start-stops. CVT is great on the highway Lots of room in the backseat Sport package makes it look much better than the base model. Experience at the dealership was hassle free and easy going
Worst FeaturesLumbar adjustment/ power seat option Bit more sound insulation More intuitive bluetooth controls Factory remote starter shuts off when you open a door. Rather strange feature. Stock tires are hard as a rock and exacerbate road noise. Squeeze a few more horses out of the FB boxer. Could use a little "oomph" w/o sacrificing MPG. Awkward location for seat heater switches Stock window tinting
