2026 Subaru Outback Touring XT 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl Turbo CVT)
Traded in our ‘21 Outback Touring for a ‘26 Outback Touring XT. This is our 3rd Subaru - wife currently drives a ‘25 Crosstrek Limited. We’re loving the ‘26 Outback. Ride is amazing and much better than the ‘21. And the turbo finally makes the car something to be enjoyed both in the city and on the highway. The interior is near luxury and the new driver tech is much, much better … than it has been in the past. Display is clear and very responsive. No more lag when you push on the screen. Also, having actual buttons for the climate is welcome - not sure why all manufacturers having gone back to this. Car is very roomy with increased cargo capacity.
In response to the reviewer who gave the car one star complaining about his mileage of 16 MPG, I can only surmise that he/she must have a habit of flooring it at every red light. That’s about the only way I can guess that their mileage is so bad. I’ve tanked up our new Outback twice and have gotten 26.1 and 26.5 MPG in mostly in-town driving. Anyways - I’m giving our new ‘26 Outback 5 stars. GREAT CAR!!!
