Used 2004 Saturn ION Consumer Reviews
Love It
This car is fun to drive around. It is a small car, but when you drive it, you forget you are in a small car. Nothing can compare to the costumer service you get when you go to a Saturn dealership too. The best part is no haggling. While this if my first Saturn, in all liklihood it will not be my last.
Great value
This is my first car. I bought it on 7/31/04 and so far it has been a very good deal. For the price, the only other cars near it are the Kia Rio, Hyundai Accent, Toyota Echo, and Chevy Aveo, but the ION is bigger than all of those. I got the Berry Red ION1 model with Auto, A/C, and CD player. My only complaint is that the sun visors are somewhat flimsy and small. The center mounted IP is convenient since I'm on the short side and it's easier to see over the wheel. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.
Not a bad little car
GM/Saturn did a pretty good job with this car. About 60/40 driving conditions (city/highway), I get between 28-30 mpg. It's not a very fast car (despite the way Saturn designed the exterior) but it will get you to where you need to go while sipping on fuel. I do not like the interior. The rear seating of the 2 door quad coupe is unbearable and not comfortable for anyone over about 5'7" ish. Good size trunk space. The instrument cluster (speedometer and such) is in the center of the dash...kind of unnecessary. If you you're a commuter and aren't looking for an over luxerious vehicle, this is for you.
bad paint job
my paint job is not to good has some scratches on it saturn says due to ice storm insurance adjuster said bad paint job
ion does it for us
I'm very pleased with the ION. Perfect first car for my daughter at a great price-competitive with used. Fun to drive for my wife and me as well. Someone should get a life when they critique the flat seats.
