2018 Nissan Murano Platinum 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl CVT)
My second Murano and even better than the last one I had for 9 years with no major problems. The interior is very comfortable and functional. The Apple Carplay works perfectly, but it is very particular about the USB cable you use. It MUST be a made for Apple cable and it must have snug USB connection. I had a genuine Apple cable that would not work because it did not seat snugly.
The … ride is very nice, although a little less sporty than the Gen 2 Murano. The blind spot detection and adaptive cruise control work great. I am averaging 23.5 mpg in mixed driving, which is pretty good for a solid 6 cylinder.
The Bose stereo is just ok sound wise. Everything works fine, just not a high end system if you want to play at higher volumes.
Overall this is a very nice vehicle and seat 4 adults very comfortably for long trips.
Caught off guard with the Murano!!!!

2018 Nissan Murano Platinum 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl CVT)
For anyone who has back problems, arthritis and such things, this car is extremely comfortable to get in and out of. Ride is the feel of a luxury car, not SUV feel. I was totally caught off guard when I sat in and drove this Murano Platinum. I wanted a Honda Pilot but it was too high for me (I am 5'9" previous back surgery, need another and severe arthritis). So I had intended on … buying a Honda CRV. That was until I read reviews, watched videos of reviews, saw, sat and drove the Nissan Murano Platinum. I couldn't be happier!!!

I am very happy with the vehicle. I am real surprised with the MPG. I have taken 2 trips and have gotten 35 mpg on the highway.
I couldn't believe my wife’s response!

2018 Nissan Murano Platinum 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl CVT)
My wife and I have been driving Datsun, then, Nissans since 1976. Our emphasis has always been sedans. We have driven Maximas since owning a used 1979. So, as we approached trading our 2014 Maxima, I told the salesmen that we wanted to look at Maximas again. My wife said for us to hold everything. She startled me by saying she wanted to look at the Murano. After she explained the … spateous seating, the raised visibility, the driving ease, the AWD, the electronics and the many accessories of the Murano, I had to agree. We are now the happy owners of a 2018 Murano! By the way, our friends love our choice too.

Which Murano does Edmunds recommend?
The base Murano S comes nicely equipped with keyless entry, an 8-inch touchscreen display, satellite radio, smartphone integration and a navigation system, among other features. It's an excellent value for a stylish crossover with more than the basics. But the S doesn't offer any options. Since the main appeal of the Murano is getting an upscale SUV without luxury-brand pricing, we say move up to get the SV trim with the optional Premium package. This way you'll get almost all of the Murano's luxury essentials while keeping the price reasonable.

Driving
7.0The Murano accelerates like most other V6-powered crossovers in the class. It's not quick, but it easily merges into highway traffic. Its continuously variable automatic transmission balances performance and efficiency; the suspension leans toward comfort. A solid all-around performer but not sporty.
Comfort
8.0Though it leans toward comfort over performance, the Murano isn't the most supple SUV we've driven. Most of our impressions are of a Platinum model with 20-inch wheels and tires, so lesser trims are likely more comfortable over rough roads. The quiet cabin and excellent seats help offset any flaws.
Interior
7.0Big effort was spent to increase the interior quality in this Murano. Top trims offer interior materials similar to what you'll find in Infiniti models. Leather adorns most surfaces, and built-in lighting is striking. Some unconventional design choices, but none results in loss of functionality.
Utility
7.0Not the largest cargo area in the class, but not the smallest either. The Murano is similar to its main rivals with a wide, flat opening at the rear that's able to swallow a solid chunk of luggage without infringing on the second row. A lack of small-item storage space up front is a big drawback.
Technology
7.0Those willing to pay for the pricier trim levels will get everything from advanced safety technologies to a full-featured navigation system with an 8-inch touchscreen.
