2003 Nissan Murano SE AWD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

After looking at the Highlander,
Pilot and Endeavor, I am SO happy
with my decision to go with the Murano.
This car has the looks, power and space
I've been looking for, not to mention
the features. This is my first SUV,
cominmg from a sports car and if you
are coming from the same situation,
this is definitely the vehicle for you.
It handles excellently and has more
power than my sports car! I think the
CVT is awesome when it comes to power
and fuel economy, though not quite up
to the sticker highway 25 mpg, it still
does great. This car is not just for
families either, as a young single male
I totatly love this vehicle. Can't go
wrong with this one.

Best Features

Six disc in dash changer, Bose sound system, passing power and acceleration, hot design gets a lot of looks.

Worst Features

Arm rests in front seat, better display for units not equipped with nav system...it looks a little old school and cheesy, it should be in color too.

2003 Nissan Murano SE Fwd 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

It's been said that this is the "Z" of
SUV's, and I think I'd have to agree
with that. My FWD SE handles great,
stops remarkably quickly, and is
seamless in its acceleration. The
cabin is comfortable and stylish.

Best Features

Acceleration, handling, and the fact that it doesn't look like a traditional SUV.

Worst Features

Make a body colored grill an option rather than the rather cheap looking chromed plastic.

2003 Nissan Murano SL AWD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

While I think the car is great looking, after
driving it three months, I'm beginning to
have my doubts. Driver comfort is the
biggest complaint. I find the front seats to be
too wide--so that I can't have an arm on the
console and an arm on the door at the same
time. Because the seat's so wide, and with
leather, as I drive around curves or corners, I
slide side to side in the seat, constantly
readjusting my hands on the wheel. It's not
a restful ride because of all the readjusting.
And, for those of us not 6 ft tall, the armrest
doesn't move forward far enough to rest an
elbow while holding the wheel.

Best Features

Bose Stereo is wonderful. CVT provides smooth acceleration. Nice to have sport option gear.

Worst Features

Redesign the seats to provide a more secure, grounded area in which to ride. Fix the seating area. Provide locks that lock when car is underway. Gas mileage.

2003 Nissan Murano SL AWD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

I actually wanted an SUV more suited for
the city, not off roading; one with unique
styling, decent power, and unlike the rest
of the SUV pack. The Murano fit the bill
perfectly. An eye catcher, the Murano is
also fun to drive with tons of storage and
cargo space. I love it!

Best Features

The CVT is smooth and surprisingly responsive. The Murano handles more like a sport sedan than a truck. The Navigation system is excellent though takes a bit of practice to get used to. It features a "bird's eye view" display with gives a perspective view of where you are headed.

Worst Features

The muffler, for example, hangs very low off the chassis which makes off-roading a no-no. Nissan should tuck it up higher.

2003 Nissan Murano SE Fwd 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

Murano was our first choice. It was a
easy choice. We were looking for riding
comfort and spacious interior. Maurano
seats, when set at the highest level
are the highest of my test rides in
Montaineer, explorer, Pilot, and some
mini vans. With the retractible pedals,
the heated seats and the high seating
my ride is so much better.Murano looks
good, rides good, have great open
feeling inside and also better gas
mileage than other SUV type vehicles.

Best Features

High seats. Heated seats. 18" tires. Retractable pedals. Automatically tint- adjusting rear mirrors.

Worst Features

Softer background to the sppedometer, fuel tank etc on left hand side ofthe dashboard.
