1995 Nissan Maxima SE 4dr Sedan

Review

I bought a 1995 Nissan Maxima SE with 187,000 miles on it and it now has 209,000. People can't believe the power and solidness of this car. It honestly puts most other cars to shame. When I buy another car, it will be another 1995+ Maxima because it has one of the best and smoothest engines(VQ) and transmissions (LSD) ever made. Just a word of advice to anyone considering buying one of these, the engine and transmission are the same from 1995 to 2001 so you know that they are good. For the price, you can't beat it. You will pay thousands more for a lesser car in all aspects.

Best Features

The VQ Engine which is used in almost all Nissans and Infinitis. The Limited slip differential (Canadian Maximas have this starting in 1995), The auto climate control. The classiness yet sportyness the car possesses. Finally, the fact that I can blow the doors off of most cars on the road.

Worst Features

The cup holder is terrible and the trunk release is defective but apparently this is common with most Nissans. Come on Nissan get with the program.

Review

I bought my 1995 Nissan Maximain March 2004 with 170,000 miles on it. Since then I have put 10,000 miles on it. The only problem I have is a leaky sunroof and a broken antenna, but the guy before me neglected everything but the engine and paint job. The car has an amazing shine (black), and gets a lot of compliments. It still looks like a newer car. I've had a Stanza and a Maxima before this and would definatley stick with Nissan.

Best Features

Sunroof, exterior design, white face guages, reliability, BMW-like ability to make a car that never looks old, high resale value

Worst Features

cupholders would be nice, other than that absolutely nothing

Review

I bought it new before heading off to
college. Special ordered the 5spd.
Still blows the doors off so
called "muscle cars" even with it's
conserative apperance. I hate the
cupholders; they interfere with
shifting. It has gotten me through
blizzards and hurricanes with complete
confidence. Reliable is an
understaement. My mileage is
exceptionally low and the paint has
been professionally restored after a
snow shovel oppsy. I'm passing it on
to my little brother who is starting
at Villanova, as I move on to a CLK
Cabriolet. If it wasn't going to my
brother I wouldn't part with it.
Beauty, power, handling, reliability,
style and BALLS!

Best Features

White gages. Auto window down with remote. 5spd tranny and 3.0 Dohc 24valve Microfinish V6 with dual cooling, 190hsp 205torque, 0-60 in 6.6

Worst Features

cup holders that hold cups and still let you drive!
