Used 2008 Nissan Altima Consumer Reviews
Ready to trade.
Bought brand new in June of 2008. I have 35,000 miles within 2 ½ years. Gets great gas mileage, very sporty and I really do like the push button start. But I have had problems that in my mind outweigh the good things. Had to have the radio replaced. That took 4 trips to the dealer before Nissan would finally replace it. Had the trunk latch replaced. Now Im dealing with the radio display again and they wont do anything and my warranty is up in 999 miles. Windows roll down if you hold the unlock button on the key. I didnt know that till it happened the other night with the key in my pocket. Then the lights were on and I couldnt get them shut off. So now I have to take it back in.
Would buy again
Have put 5,000 miles on my Altima, no problems to date. Love the keyless ignition, comfortable, excellent performance for a 4 cylinder, mileage on highway has been in the 30 to 32 mpg range and looks great inside and out. Only complaint small trunk opening.

The Altima is Awesome
My '06 Sonata was wreck, so had find another car and paid nissan a visit during the sales tent event over the memorial day weekend. The car is well equip w/ the convenience package. It rides and handles very well and I find it to be comfortable even in the back seats. I did very little hwy driving and manage 500 miles on the first tank which averages about 25 miles/gal in mostly stop and go. I love this intelligent key the rest of the auto world needs to catch up with nissan, no more fumbling for the keys, I was sold on this feature. 175 horses is plenty of power for everyday communting and hwy passing.
2.5S Review
Power-Band is that of the 350Z. The 2.5 is smooth and has power throughout each gear. Granted, it doesn't have the horsepower of the 3.5, but it makes up for that in MPG. 175hp is plenty while city driving, and it performs excellent on the interstate. The styling speaks for itself, as it is a great looking coupe. Not very many cars today are in its class. Very well priced for what you receive.
Where's the downside?
I have had this Altima 2.5SL for a week. I love the car. Brand new it averages 29 mpg. It is reasonably luxurious, comfortable, quiet, and smooth. I'm still waiting to find something I don't like. What an awesome car!
