It has dash cams even in the LE trim standard

2026 Toyota RAV4 LE 4dr SUV (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
I have had the 2026 RAV4 LE FWD for about 2 1/2 months now. I find it very impressive, especially for the base model. Sure, it doesn't have leather heated seats or HomeLink, but I am pleased with what it does have for a base model. I didn't know until I got home that the LE has front and rear dash cams. Not only that, but you can add a USB-C to increase the storage capacity. It … works great. You can access it through the infotainment screen. Surround camera trim levels even record all of that if you have that.
My wife and I find it very comfortable. It has cloth seats. Interesting to note that you can remove the seat covers with the attached zipper. I haven't tried it yet, but I have not seen this option ever before from the factory.
My RAV4 is Japanese assembled. I find it very tight and zero rattles. I previously owned a Highlander XLE 2018. It was US assembled and I have to say, that it had its fair share of rattles.
I find the hybrid system very smooth and not intrusive. It is quite peppy and does not feel sluggish. I have been averaging in the high 40s for gas mileage with a combination of city and highway.
Another thing I really was pleased to find on the base model was the touch lock and unlock on the door handle on both driver and passenger door. This is particularly a must have feature for me. I am glad that it is standard on the LE.
I also chose the metallic Red which is gorgeous. So many times nice colors are not available on the base model even at an up charge. I'm glad that it is.
I have also noticed that in some reviews that the seats were too high or too low. I find that a bit odd as the height of the drivers and passengers seats are adjustable. We both have found our sweet spot.
I find the ride quite comfortable as well. It seems to be a firm ride yet handles the bumps well and takes the corners with ease. I think if a person were prone to car sickness that the RAV4 would be a good choice to avoid that. I speak from experience.
The overall dashboard and infotainment system does take a bit of getting use to as there are new formats for everything that is available. I think the changes are good for the most part, but there definitely is a learning curve. It doesn't seem to take long, but there does need be some time spent on learning everything new. It is worth it though. Apple Car Play works well. I haven't used Android Auto, but is standard.
Many things are subjective when giving a review, but I think the overall quality and value so far will meet the expectations of what a Toyota should bring.
