I love my base rear wheel drive 2026 Panamera

2026 Porsche Panamera 4dr Sedan (2.9L 6cyl Turbo 8AM)
I bought this car brand new and it took 5 months to acquire it via a factory order. I just went past the 1,300 mile mark, and this has been the best car I have ever owned. I am over 65 years old and live in South Florida. I don't need a 4WD and I am not driving this car up North in Winter. It is still "braking in" so I have not taken the RPMs above 4,000. I did test drive the … Mercedes S Class. Even though the Mercedes is a beautiful car, it was just too serene for me. The Panamera's fit and finish (inside and out) is outstanding. The rear axle steering makes this car make U-turns almost like a Mini Cooper. I opted for the thermal/acoustic glass only because the base Panamera with the normal glass is a little loud for a "luxury sports" car. It's because of the ultra high performance tires. Car and Driver noted it too. So far it's very hard to find "cons" for this car, but I will try. Maintaining it will be expensive. It's a Porsche. Will it be as reliable as a Lexus in the long run? Maybe not, but Porsche is generally reliable for a German car. The technology is a little tough to learn at first, but I believe I have learned almost everything. The seats are a bit tight for rear passengers. It would have also been nice to have Michelin or Contiental tires from the factory instead of the Hankook. This isn't a Genesis from South Korea. I have the premium package with the night vision assist. My days of having "sport exhausts" are over. I wanted a driver's car with a nice driving experience. If I really wanted an outright sports car, I would have bought another car.
