2026 MINI Countryman S ALL4 Iconic 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 7AM)
Did not really understood the Edmunds review. If you expect this to behave like a calssic MINI, you will be dissapointed as it is not. And i assume that the large expectations caused a large disappointment. However, if you want to drive a BMW X1 (scored 8.1 in Edmunds test) for $3,000-5,000 less, enjoy better handling and performance (especially in the Go-Cart mode) and have a unique … style go for it. Th e reason this countryman is about 50% larger than the previous ones is because this car shares the same chassis, engine, suspensions and transmission as the BMW X1 and it is assembled in the BMW facility in Dusseldorf Germany..... The difference is better tuned suspensions (better handling), better tuned transmission (better performance) an a unique style that sets it apart from all the other SUVs and makes it fun to drive. Not everything is great, though. the fact that really almost everything is controlled by the big round screen makes it annoying to do simple changes in audio, climate and apps. It is a single point of failure that will cause the car to be non-functional (other than actual driving). Bottom line, do not expect the classic MINI experience, but if you want an alternative BMW this is the car for you.
