“Disappointing Reliability w/Transmission Failures

2025 Kia Sorento S 4dr SUV (2.5L 4cyl 8A)
I purchased my 2025 Kia Sorento expecting a reliable family SUV, but my experience has been deeply frustrating. The vehicle, with just over 10,000 miles, has suffered from a critical transmission issue that prevents it from reversing, accompanied by a persistent engine light. These problems have rendered the car unsafe and unreliable, especially for family use. Despite multiple trips to … the dealership, the issue remains unresolved, with the vehicle spending over 30 days out of service for repairs. The lack of a consistent fix, coupled with delays in addressing the safety hazard, has been incredibly disappointing. Customer service has been unresponsive, and the process of seeking a resolution has been exhausting. While the Sorento offers decent space and design, these mechanical failures overshadow any positives. I cannot recommend this vehicle to others until Kia addresses these significant reliability concerns.
