I took delivery of my G87 M2 in June (one of the first customer orders delivered in my state) and it has been one of my favorite cars to own. Contrary to the Edmunds' list of cons, the back seats are big enough to comfortable accommodate kids in bulky car seats. Adults should be fine back there as long as it is for a short drive. Definitely very useful back seats, not like a 911 or … Lexus LC or the new SL. I got mine in Zandvoort Blue and I am still getting positive attention on a daily basis. Styling is subjective but the G87 has a wide and muscular stance plus the unique blue color really stands out. The only con that I agree with Edmunds is the new interior that has removed most of the hard buttons, previous BMW interiors were more intuitive to use. My personal cons would be regarding the lack of a few options like ventilated seats and 360 camera. I also wish the comfort setting made suspension cushier. It is certainly liveable as a daily driver but it would be nice if I could dial in a softer ride.
Pros would would be almost too many to list. The car fits you like a glove and handles like its on rails. Power is almost too much, flooring it for 2-3 seconds even in second gear gets you over any speed limit. The biggest pro has to be the 6MT, so hard to find a true sports car with a manual transmission in this day and age. Unlike hot hatches from Japanese manufacturers, it also still has the BMW level of refinement, hardly any wind noise and very little tire roar despite the very wide tire size.
