2005 MINI Cooper 2dr Hatchback (1.6L 4cyl 5M)

Review

The Mini is a "big car in a little body." It has plenty of power on the highway, gets great gas mileage, and is just plain fun to drive. The only negative thing about it is that it uses a higher grade of gasoline than most.

Best Features

The automatic headlights and windshield wipers.

Worst Features

Lowering the required octane.

2005 MINI Cooper 2dr Convertible (1.6L 4cyl 5M)

Review

The 2005 Mini Cooper Convertible is not only cute, and fuel efficiant, but also well designed in the ways of aesthetics and performance alike. I can corner in my Mini at 70mph without a peep from the tyres, the convertible top lifts up in the back so even more stuff can be crammed in the trunk. The convertible top can either be opened all the way, or be opened part-way and used as a sunroof! The interior is fun, and roomy, allowing my 6'2" boyfriend to comfortably stretch out, while i, at 5'1" have no problem reaching everything. In addition to all of this, the Mini is small enough to create it's own parking places, where SUV's would'nt dare to go! By far the BEST CAR EVER MADE!!!

Best Features

Convertible top Radio controls on steering wheel Heated Seats Checkered Mirrors Trunk Interior accents in exterior color Gague Design Handeling Fuel Efficiancy Sun Roof Leatherette seats 5-speed Manuel Transmission On Board computer Heated Mirrors ...not to mention everything else

Worst Features

Heated Steering Wheel Sunsreen Dispenser somewhere in the dash 50 Year Warrenty

2005 MINI Cooper S 2dr Convertible (1.6L 4cyl S/C 6M)

Review

The Cooper S convertible really DOES feel like a go-kart, it is a blast to drive, and people all want to make friends with such a cute little car. But the dynamic stability control is wildly overassertive (slammming on the brakes at the slightest chirp of wheelspin), the optional automatic climate control is a disastrous triumph of cutesy (shaped like the Mini crest) over ergonomic, and the optional Harmon-Kardon stereo upgrade is only marginal at best. If you delete these options, you'll not only save money, you'll have a MUCH better experience of the car...simple, direct, delightful. Mini gets into trouble when they try to get too fancy..but when they just go for fun, they get it right!

Best Features

Cooper could teach Mazda a thing or two about "zoom zoom"...most fun driving I've had since my Triumph Spitfire in the '70s. My car is Hyper Blue with white mirrors, stripes, and wheels, and I think the color makes the perfect beach car for south Florida.

Worst Features

Once Mini gets the climate control right, and orders a decent sound system, and muzzles the stability control (or gives it more settings than just "nervous grandpa" or "off"), they will have a great car. Right now it's a really good car that needs a little more work.

2005 MINI Cooper S 2dr Hatchback (1.6L 4cyl S/C 6M)

Review

While I love driving my 2-week old Mini, the service available stinks! After only having my Mini for 2 weeks, the Service Engine light came on and the car lost power. When I called my BMW dealer, they told me I could get in 1 week later! They only have 1 Mini repair person! I also called area BMW dealers and haven't received return calls. Be careful when buying this car to ensure there are more certified repair people for MINI in your area!

Worst Features

GET MORE MINI COOPER Certified mechanics. If not, this car will not be on the market long! If you can't get it repaired, why buy it?!!!

2005 MINI Cooper S 2dr Hatchback (1.6L 4cyl S/C 6M)

Review

The MINI for me is the only car that truly excells in the categories of Style, Performance, Fun to drive, and practicality. It's great on fuel economy (29mpg avg. Cooper S manual), comes with three years of free maintenance (even covers brakes), has go kart performance, and is able to fit all of the people and cargo that I ever need. There's nothing negative I can say about the vehicle. It does everything I ask it to do above and beyond the call of duty. Why would you consider any other small vehicle?

Best Features

I love the looks, performance, and great economy, and free 3 year maintenance that this vehicle has!

Worst Features

We MINI owners need a few more dealers.
