2003 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class SLK230 Kompressor 2dr Roadster (2.3L 4cyl S/C 6M)

I haven't owned the SLK 230 for very
long, but I really enjoy the ride.
Originally, my choice was between the
SLK and the 350z convertible. When my
neighbor came over and told us about
the softtop of his M3 convertible being
sliced, my husband decided on the 230
because of the hardtop. I must admit
that it is a great feature to have! I
was concerned about the 4 cylinder
engine pick-up, but the kompressor
really helps to give it a kick when you
need it. I live in a suburb of DC;
since traffic is heavy quite often, it
makes having a large engine such as the
AMG a waste of money.

Best Features

The retractable hardtop. The Kompressor helps give the 4 cylinder engine the extra pick-up when necessary.

Worst Features

The reliability standards for most of the European autos have dropped dramatically--this includes MB. For the price and reputation, this area needs to be addressed and improved to compete with the reliability standards of the Japanese autos.
