2002 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class SLK320 2dr Convertible (3.2L 6cyl 6M)

Just bought my SLK320. I've owned 5
SLs before this car, most recently a
1998 SL500. The SLK320 is much more
fun to drive than any previous SL! It
feels just as powerful as the SL500,
but its handling is MUCH more
responsive, nimble, sporty, and quick.
Front suspension is perfect; feels more
like a Porsche or BMW. Rear suspension
is a little stiff & bumpy, but
tolerable. Audio system could be
better. Crossover frequency between
sub-woofer and door speakers is wrong.
Mid-bass is missing, making some CDs
sound harsh and "thin". Other than
that...the SLK320 is a blast!
Automatic transmission is very
intuitive. I was skepitcal about
the "touch shift"....but it works very

Best Features

Great handling. Very quick, responsive engine and transmission.

Worst Features

Rear suspension should be a bit softer, more compliant. Audio system needs improvement, to increase "mid-bass" that's missing from subwoofer and door speakers.
