2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV ML500 AWD 4dr SUV (5.0L 8cyl 5A)

Review

My ML500 has seen Canadian winter
(Toronto) so I can attest to its snow
bound abilities. Excellent and fun
vehicle to drive. Currently own an 02'
Audi 3.0 6 Speed as well and driving
the wifes' MB is always a pleasant
treat. HID headlights are a severe
nuisance to other drivers at night
(their problem!). Only negatives are
gas mileage SUCKS (you'll think you
have a leak in your gas tank) and
you'll go thru tires relatively
quickly. Positives; great fun,
excellent build quality, superior
power (and I mean SUPERIOR), great all-
weather vehicle offering outstanding
stability and grip, also, did I say
lots of power in that 5 liter engine
yet?

Best Features

POWERFUL 5 liter V8! Outstanding V8 Power! Excellent all weather grip! Superior fit and finish! Competitive SUV envy/jealousy factor = 10/10!

Worst Features

Third row seating for adults.

Review

I first owned a 1999 ML430. Replaced
with 2003 ML 500. Very happy with
improvements and performance. No
service failures. Only complaint is
that now it is necessary to remove rear
headrests to fold down seats. ML500 is
stylish, comfortable for long trips,
and will go anywhere. It is truly at
home in wil or at the Opera.

Best Features

Performance

Worst Features

Redesign seats to be able to fold down without removing and storing rear headrests. Offer Satellite Radio.

Review

Overall performance is very good. The
car is sporty yet rides extremely well.
I like the size because it is not huge
and it is easy to manuever in parking.
The all wheel drive is particularly
helpful in bad weather. The safety
factor of the car is also huge.

Best Features

front seats, awd, rides very well, sound system,

Worst Features

make the navigation system easier to use, add volume controls on the steering wheel
