Bought it used w 63,000 miles.
Replaced the starter @ 70,000. 10x
better than my grand cherokee. 5x
better than my Denalli. The quality
and solid feel make me feel like it'll
be around for many years to come. The
domestic SUV's really felt worn when
they had this many miles. This one
still drives like new.
Wanted to keep the vehicle for 1-10
years. On an average very yaer had to
take to delare with issues like
malfunction of radio or power windows
or leak in gas pump etc evry 6 montsh
isn teh first 2 years. Letley its been
every 3-4 monthe we have had teh car
breaking down. We are past teh warranty
peiod so its comes out of our pocket to
fix the vehicle. Have complained to no
vail to Beck Imports.
Comfortable Ride. Roomy Interior. Lots
of cargo space.
My first MB. I like the ride, handling,
safety, and sound system. Disappointed
with quality issues (body dents easily,
sensor light problems, window switches
not functioning, I lost power steering
prior to recall, air conditioner "weak"
in hot weather). Biggest disappointment
is: engine is burning oil and requires
additional trips to dealer to "top off"
oil between "computer approved" dealer
services. Dealer's solution: change
oil more often (at my expense). This
ML320 hasn't met my expectations of the
quality I associated with MB products.
I believe the MB reputation of
retaining value is being significantly
AWD, speaker phone, Bose sound system,
safety, visibility from driver seat,
comfort of drive and ride.
Build to meet quality expectations of
MB buyer. Change service interval to a
much shorter time frame for oil changes
At 40K miles, 3 sets of complete brake
pads and rotors, 2 navigation systems,
complete fuel system replaced, 1 set of
exterior mirrors, headlamps with so
much condensation they look like fish
tanks (but the dealership says it's
normal??), antitheft is so good that it
even locks me out and the transmitters
won't unlock the vehicle (the key will,
but then the alarm sounds and wont stop
until you disconnect the battery---no
wonder my neighbors won't speak to me
anymore). I can go on for days, but if
I can give anyone advice if they are
even CONSIDERING buying this
vehicle......turn and run and don't
Are you kidding?
Kill the model and stick to the S and
SL. You have tarnished your image with
My wife (principle driver) loves this
car; I'm less enthused, but it's been
much more reliable than what Consumers
Report would lead one to believe.
Other than regular maintenance and
recalls, we've had: replace the
cassette deck; adjustment of door
latches x2; front brake pad replacement
(27K); drivers power window switch
replaced. Could be better for a car at
40K miles; but could have been a lot
Leather seats are very comfortable for
long drives. Privacy glass. Service
provided at Wilmington Motorcars.
Smooth cruise control (even though the
CC stalk position is strange)
Fuel economy is poor, but what do you
expect for an SUV? Reliability has not
been the best, but dealer has taken
care of everything except brakes during
the 4-year warranty period. Limited
space behind the rear seats. Optional
3rd row seating is rather clunky to put
in and take out.
