Used 1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Consumer Reviews
Diesel Turbo 300
I wish USA was still importing Dielel. It is the best.
Great long-term runner
Excellent fuel economy, 30MPG average. Good reliability once bugs were worked out. Motor runs like new with 134,000 miles, and the car still feels very solid, with shock & brake/rotor replacement.

Terribly Unreliable
never ever in my life would i have thought to recieve such a TERRIBLE car. 1 month after owning it, the headlights wont turn off. then the battery died. seeing as im in high school i was ok with it sitting for a day or two. but once i bought a new battery none of the electric component were working. (radio, speedometer, gas gauge, windows, door locks) i bought the car at 139k
My Second First Car
For my first car my parents bought me a 1990 Mercedes 300E. I loved that car but it was dangerously underpowered and didn't feel like getting in an accident when pulling into traffic. So I upgraded to my E430 Sport. I love this car! Most of my friends think its a 2005 or 2006. The ride is incredibly smooth, The power is amazing and The Climate Control system is awesome. All my friends envy the Bose Sound. I like all the little things Mercedes put in like the vents in the center console and the Rear Power Sunshade. I would recommend this car to anyone. I bet it will go over 300K miles. Mercedes-Benz is the best and I will only buy Mercedes Benz now.
The E320
This has been a fantastic car. I'm considering a new E320 or E500, but I can't bring myself to sell this one. It had a few small problems with bulbs blowing out. The local Benz dealership fixed the problem after several visits. Fortunatley, it was covered under warranty. The ride is exceptional as is everything else about the E320. I think I'll stay with the E class because it is easy to get around in the city yet still has a big car feel.
