2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C32 AMG 4dr Sedan (3.2L 6cyl S/C 5A)

I ordered my C32 after having seen only
pictures of one from Europe, and after
having enjoyed my 1999 C43 so much that
I knew this new AMG was going to be the
cat's balls. I was a little
disappointed, the steering is decent
for a Benz, but it has a bit too much
understeer out the box. Living in
Boston, the car is very uncomfortable
on imperfect roads, it just doesn't
soak up bumps the way a Benz should.
It's also had a big handful of small
problems, too many for a Benz in fact.

Best Features

Nice broad torque curve, similar to the V8 but unfortunately lacks the nice exhaust tone. A blast to drive, especially on the highway when playing with M5's. I've only "lost" against my friend's 996 Turbo but thats not really a fair race.

Worst Features

Creaks and rattles should not appear so soon. The Comand system is an ancient, CD-ROM based white elephant. It's finally being replaced by a DVD version in 2004. And for heavens sake give me a friggin spare tire.
