2010 Mazda 3 s Sport 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 5A)

Review

My little Mazda was a replacement for a Honda. This car handles much better and is more fun to drive. I chose the 2.5 because I was driving a 200 hp car and thought the car not have great pick-up if i chose the smaller engine. This engine has fantastic pick-up and handles well and best of all uses regular gasoline. The dash is very modern and it has ample lighting for night driving. The white/gray display screen is not attractive and does not match the other parts on the dash. It's like an alien screen. Also I would have liked a leather option but grey not black.

Best Features

The small steering wheel with the leather wrap. The easy to use controls and the lighting pattern on the dash and doors.

Worst Features

Needs more options including front and rear mudflaps and side door protection molding to keep the dings away. The mileage screen needs to match the other digital screens. Better gas mileage and light strips on the mirrors. Lastly heated seats would be a nice item.

2010 Mazda 3 i SV 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 5M)

Review

After being a Honda or Toyota person for years, I bought this car due to a GREAT salesman, and excellent finance offers. What a mistake! Took it in for service, and the next day a hubcap came off. But--hey not the service department's fault. And--we'll sell you a new 1 for $70. Brakes make noise at 14k, and already rattles and noise. Great sales experience, but the cars quality and the service dept ensure that I'll be getting out of this car asap and will NEVER have another Mazda

Best Features

Power door locks! Cruise control! Better overall quality please !

2010 Mazda 3 s Sport 4dr Hatchback (2.5L 4cyl 5A)

Review

I have had my Mazda 3 for a little over a year now. Since day 1, it has average around 15mpg. The car quivers at high speeds, has too much oversteer, and there has been a rattling sound coming from the steering column. After taking it in for service (at University Mazda in Seattle), they said that the fuel economy is due to the 'break in period' for the engine; they said it takes 15k miles for this to happen, which is total BS. The whole Mazda experience has been terrible, and I cant wait until my lease is up to get rid of this car.

Worst Features

Improve fuel economy

2010 Mazda 3 s Sport 4dr Hatchback (2.5L 4cyl 6M)

Review

After four months I have finally found something to complain about. Watch out for the 17" low profile tires. Lots of construction this summer/fall around here, and as careful as I try to be, raised manhole covers on stripped streets waiting for resurfacing have already claimed 3 tires. And these tires are not cheap - $200 per pop! I've been driving for more than 30 years and this has never happened before, so I can only put it down to the low profile tires. On the plus side they do give amazing grip, and help the tremendous road holding of the 3.

Best Features

Performance, handling

Worst Features

Are the tires fragile, or have I just had a string of bad luck?

Review

I'm yet another reviewer coming out of a BMW 3 series and into the Mazda 3. I'm stunned to say that this car is just as much fun to drive as my 325i was. Sure, it's not as quiet (the 3s has more tire noise on the highway) and doesn't have all the extra luxuries my BMW had. With that said, the Mazda 3 is a far better value. It's truly BMW-like in performance and offers many options that you normally find only in higher price points-like the automatic rain-sensing wipers my BMW had. If you're someone who enjoys driving, the 3 is light on it's feet, hugs corners, has plenty of power for it's size and great stopping power. With all that and exceptional interior quality, it's the one to buy

Best Features

handling, engine, bluetooth hands-free, blue accent lighting, value for $$

Worst Features

open button on trunk lid (sedan) - having to open drivers door to pull trunk release is inconvenient. Heated outside mirrors should also be standard. Quieter tires on the sport (17") rims.
