Great Econo-box

2005 Mazda 3 s 4dr Hatchback (2.3L 4cyl 5M)

Purchased the car for business trips. Has averaged between 32 - 35 MPG on highway, has plenty of power and has proved to be very comfortable on long trips. Stereo (6-CD changer) is awesome, still getting used to the atomic cockroach exterior styling.

Best Features

Engine is turbine-smooth and has bunches of smooth power. Passing in high gear at freeway speeds is impressive for a 2.3 liter vehicle. Road handling through twisting roads is a kick with the tight suspension, 17" wheels and 4-wheel disc brakes.

Worst Features

A lot of road noise is transmitted to the interior with the tight suspension and low profile tires. The air conditioning system takes a while to cool the car when heat-soaked.
