The Mazda CX-5 is a great SUV. It is comfortable, has the automatic latch on the hatch, and gets about an average of 28 miles per hour.

Best bang for your buck

I have the non-turbo, and it still packs a punch, handles like a dream, and rides pretty smooth! Looking forward to many more miles in this car. Interior leather accents very nicely finished. Many don't know that Mazda has been working with Toyota for a few years now, so that is a plus that drew me to this vehicle. I've heard some complain that the infotainment system isn't touch screen when the vehicle is in motion(I believe that's adjustable in settings, but I haven't changed it), and that's fine with me as I can't ever seem to hit the right app the first time with touch screens anyway and it causes my eyes to be off the road too long. The knob, while driving, is simple to use and accurate(though figuring out where it will go when you spin it may take some getting used to). Many may also get tripped up by the fact it is a basic 6 speed transmission. Do you feel it shift? Yes, but not horribly, and coming from a manual transmission car, I really like the shifts anyway. The transmission is not incapable by any means either. As far as I have noticed, the RPMs stay pretty low, and the power is readily available when needed. Gas mileage is solid as well. Best part? For as new of a car as this is, the DIY serviceability is still there as opposed to other brands that have limited working on their vehicles to dealerships. This vehicle has dipsticks to check your oil AND transmission fluid(may be normal, but i don't figure it is on newer vehicles). Overall the CX-5 is VERY driver intuitive and just makes sense.

Bought new with 31 miles on it. Following maintenance schedules and vehicle is great on gas. All the options were added to a regular touring model.

The car has a smooth ride but cabin noise is a minus. Great gas mileage.

I love it! Bought it new in 2020. Grand Touring Reserve with the turbo in Soul Crystal red metallic. I'm currently at 56k miles with zero issues. I do oil changes every 5k miles. Originally I test drove a CRV, RAV4, Forrester, and CX5. I picked the Mazda bc it looks, feels, and drives like a luxury SUV. 320 |b/ft of torque for a compact really gives it the edge over anything else in the class. Four years later and it still feels as solid as the day I bought it. The handling's amazing, and the ride is great! Some people have called the ride firm but I would say it's super compliant. It settles very quickly over bumps without feeling upset. The Bose system sounds "good" but only has bass and treble adjustments with no mid which would make it even better. The ventilated seats work better than in other cars I tested as well. It's also one of the quietest too letting in very little wind and tire noise.

Fabulous car. This Mazda CX-5 replaces our 2016, Honda CRV which I liked, but LOVE this Mazda. Like a “poor man’s BMW.” Quick. nimble, well designed. Liking the turbo power, essential in merging and passing. Amazing features: Intuitive Cruise control (slows the car down when cars in front of you slow down… Even to a stop!) Runs on regular gas, a plus. Air-conditioned seats in hot weather! Heated windshield wipers! Front crash mitigation. Auto lift gate, Apple CarPlay (displays your smartphone on the car’s screen, great for Waze, Google Maps) My fave: “heads up” display projects your speed like a 3D hologram in front of you Overall, an excellent vehicle, fun to drive. I see so many CX-5’s on the road these days. Probably my favourite car to date (have owned Chevy Suburbans, BMW SUVs, Honda CRV, Nissan Maximas, Hyundai Santa Fe’s). The downside: 19-20 mpg local driving 27-28 highway. Smaller capacity than the CRV Overall, Highly recommend this car.

Only been a week, but coming from a 2010 Camaro that broke down most of the time, I’m having fun getting used to not having blind spots. It’s just me so I’ve all the room I need .

Great little SUV with a powerful turbo and excellent handling. Interior is upscale considering its price (actually, even not considering the price), Nothing but positive things to say other than I got a good price as a trade-in - bought a 2024 Mustang GT. So win-win.
