Worst Town Car to Date

1998 Lincoln Town Car Signature 4dr Sedan

This car currently has 223K on it. It's my father's car and used it work as a limo driver. Up until about 170K, the car was basically trouble free (one or two minor repairs.) The only real constant problem was a hole in the firewall that allowed rain water and snow to get into the passenger compartment.(The car now wreaks of dirty water). However over the past two years this car has been problematic. Heres a list of all the problems we've had: Two bad wiper motors. Two power driver power window motors. Sunroof stopped working. Intake manifold blew(factory defect). Gas mileage has decreased slowly(now 12-14 mpg). A/C compressor inoperative. A spark plug blew out of the engine.

Best Features

The car is very spacious and has an amazingly smooth ride. It has a decent sound system. Power is decent overall considering the weight of the car. This particular car also has the black wood trim, dual exhaust(rated engine at 220 HP and 290 LB of torque)and the limited edition 6 spoke chrome rims

Worst Features

The spare tire protrudes into some usable trunk space. Handling could be improved (I can take turns at higher speeds in our Caravan) Overall the car feels like a tank but the reliablity of the most used parts must be improved, as those are the only things that break.
