The SC430 combines the quiet refined
class of the "usual" Lexus product,
when the top is up, with a fabulous
open air experience, complete with
subtly rumbling exhaust pipes and a
totally cool interior. The total
package is a great value..especially
when compared with the "other" hardtop
convertibles on the market.
Try one....you'll be convinced!!
The hardtop convertible, naturally.
When the top is up, it rides and sounds
like a Lexus...quiet and refined. One
button pushed...and its a different
The rear seatbelts tend to develop a
harmonic flapping when the car is
driven with the top down at 65 mph +.
Lexus needs to figure out a way to fix
this as the flapping belt will
eventually stress the grommet in the
leather...it happened on mine! Get to
work you engineers!!!
This car is definitely fun....Have a
winter vehicle as when I asked what
kind of snow tires the salesman just
laughed. It's a real head turner as I
find everyone staring.
The interior is beautiful. The hard top
mechanism is something else. The stereo
is the best I've ever heard.
Cupholders are lousy. The
front clearance for the spoiler is
too low. If you go over any bump I'm
afraid the spoiler will scrape. I have
to leave my garage ever so slowly or I
scrape. The bottom is painted. It
should have some sort of black plastic
guard as my Saab Turbo had.
This is as close to the perfect car as
I have ever driven. The driver and
passenger are left to want for nothing -
- all accessories are provided.
Comfort, luxury, excellent ride and
power are provided in large measures
The car is so well integrated into a
near perfect drivign experience that it
really isn't possible to single out any
one feature that is superior -- they
all are. If forced to pick one, the
convertible top is a joy to use and
completes the sleek design to
