1991 Lexus LS 400 4dr Sedan

The car is great when it's running.
However, have had water pump, power
steering pump, and starter replaced.
Also, rack & pinion leak, electrical
problems, and a/c problems. At service
rates just under $100/hour and using
parts that have huge markups, it takes
a small fortune just to keep the car in
operation. I guess I don't have to use
the Lexus dealer, so it's partly my
fault. Other than these problems, the
engine and transmission seem like they
will last several hundred thousand more
miles. Car now has 129,000 miles.

Best Features

reliability and service costs need improvement
