Used 2004 Lexus ES 330 Consumer Reviews
Rides Like Butter
I love my new Lexus ES330. I am impressed with the ride, the amenitites and detail. The recomendations for improvement would make this beautiful vehicle perfect!
Better than expected
Just had the car for over a week, but can't believe the silent smoooth ride. A class act

This car is fun to drive. Quiet, smooth, luxurious interior. Styling is a bit far out for my taste, but everything else is so good, this aspect is not so important.
New Lexus Owner Experience
Just bought ES330 and sold 96 Avalon. Disagree ES330=Camry comment. What I compared here is top equipped 96 Avalon vs. top equipped ES330. Here is something I didnt expect: 1. accelerate from 0 to normal is not strong as expected, or even slower than my Avalon. 2. Related with 1, the gas mileage is much better than Avalon (33-35 in highway and 26 in city, is it a problem for the particular car or for a new car?). 3. The 4th generation Navigation System is impressive, it is the item you MUST have. It is not only an elegant GPS mapping and road information system, it also makes everything easy to control: Audio, Radio, CD, etc.
Rough shifting 1st-2nd gear
Drove the demo, fell in love, but wish now that I had test driven the actual car I purchased. Frequent hesitation then lurching occurs at first to second gear changes. Feels like the transmission is trying to figure out what to do. Didn't experience this in the demo. Took the car in to the shop. Believe the service department made some software tweaks. Now feels like the problem is worse. Gives me a very unsafe feeling when pulling out into traffic. Have scheduled another service visit. Lexus has been very responsive so far; hope they will come up with a solution. If not for the shifting problem, I would rate the vehicle an overall 9.0
