Too small for me
By n8webb on

2001 Land Rover Discovery Series II SE 4WD 4dr SUV (4.0L 8cyl 4A)

I always loved the style of the Rovers, so I got a used one. Loved it at first, very dependable. The main issue I have with it is the interior space. I'm 6'5", 250 lbs. This vehicle is made for little European people. It's very difficult to get my child in and out of the car seat since the middle area of the car is extremely small. It's called the SE7 because it sits 7. But I don't know 7 jockeys to haul around with me. have to stoop to see a red light.

Best Features

Interior, exterior, whats all the fuss about the brakes? Mine were fine. Snob appeal. Aluminum body. Noticed lots of immitators with rust.

Worst Features

Gas economy--14-16 or so, but you have to use gas with an octane of 90+ in order to avoid "engine knocking". I don't know what that is, but I didn't want to find out. Space! Extremely small vehicle that weighs a lot.
