Best acceleration came from putting the car in "Thrust Mode" and turning off the ESP system. After that you simply mash the throttle, but after the car revs up and launches you must modulate throttle input to balance wheelspin with maximum acceleration. The tachometer did not keep up with engine's rev rate, so shifting before an indicated redline was necessary to avoid the rev limiter. Shifts with the E.gear system were very quick and positive.
Braking is extremely confident, though the pedal has a bit of "mushiness" during initial application. This wasn't really an issue during maximum brake testing, as hammering the pedal simply caused the vehicle to immediately slow down.
Despite the all-wheel drive system the car behaves very much like a rear-drive vehicle in the slalom. Quick throttle application or lift can prompt oversteer, but it remains stable and predictable overall.
