Best run was with ESC turned off and a 2,000-rpm brake torque and careful throttle modulation thereafter. Otherwise, the electronic traction control is very aggressive and kills any sort of wheelspin.
Very soft initial pedal feel followed by progressive fade. Pedal went to the floor by the final (4th) stop from 60 mph.
On the skid pad, the Amanti is soft and slow to react. Very low limits of grip here. In the slalom, the car is relatively stable through the transitions, with generous body roll. The power steering, however, was not up to the task. The ratio is slow and it was easy to outrun the hydraulic pump over center.
