2004 Jeep Wrangler X 4WD 2dr Convertible SUV (4.0L 6cyl 5M)
I have had more fun with my Jeep
Wrangler than any other car I have
wned. I bought the solar yellow and it
turns heads everwhere I go. I have the
X model with the in line 6 cyl engine.
I hve heard rummors that the in line 6
will be replaced with the v-6. i think
that would be a mistake to to this.
Bought my Rubicon as a wedding gift to ourselves
in 2002. Great wedding gift. It's a rough ride and
truck like, the way Jeeps are meant to be. Never
expected to ride like a BMW. Having many of the
upgrades from the factory saved from trying to
upgrade myself and messing it up or finding
someone to do it right.
In the Army for 14yrs, and taught soldiers how to
drive Hummers and larger vehicles. I can say the
Rubicon is as capable as Hummer. And at a lot
lower cost. But never been to a Jamboree though.
Looking forward to one after coming back form
Stock Dana 44s, air lockers, 31" tires, topeless and
doorless. 4.0L has adequate power. Great drivetrain
ratios. Really go anywhere. Still looks like a Jeep.
better bumpers, additional fuse box for accesories,
waterproof seats, better quality control, stronger
tailgate hinge (too weak for 31s and bike rack),
more power from engine, better fuel economy
2004 Jeep Wrangler SE 4WD 2dr Convertible SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5M)
i love my jeep. i have never owned a
vehicle that is more fun to drive or
more reliable. easy to maintain and
upgrades are unlimited if you have the
budget for them. a huge support group
is available on the web for all jeep
noise reduction would be nice. a better
way to attach the soft windows so that
it is easier and faster when caught in
a sudden rainstorm.
This Unlimited rides TONS better than
my old 1997 Wrangler when it was
stock. After I saw the extra room, I
had to have one. It is nice to be
able to fit more than 4 paper sacks of
groceries behind the seats. Overdrive
is a nice improvemnt over the 3 Speed
Auto. It seems to roll in corners
less than my old stock '97 Wrangler
did. Went through some windy roads
near LaGrande, Washington and I was
really impressed with the improvment
in handling. Don't get me wrong, it
is still a Jeep, but it is much better
than my old one.
Nothing better than the top off on a
warm Washington night. I
really like that auto dimming rear
view mirror. The temp and direction
are nice too. I have the 7 speakers,
they are an improvment over the 4, but
not worth the $300. The A/C works
great! Engine is quiet.
A Dual Top package, and a lighter Hard
Top. Someone on the assembly line
that makes sure all of the clips that
hold the nuts for the hard top are
there. I lost one of the nuts in the
Jeep, it must be there somewhere!
Include a TORX set with every vehicle.
