2002 Jeep Liberty Limited 4dr 4WD SUV (3.7L 6cyl 4A)
Worst point, fuel economy. Power is
great. Tires could be more aggressive
tread. Interior comfort is wonderful.
Visibility from driver's seat, Great.
Seat sits a bit high for my 6'2" frame,
not bad though. Nimblea and agile off
road and on. Rack and Pinion steering
is tight and responsive, nearly as good
as some sports cars.
Radio controls on steering wheel. Low
overhang front and rear of wheels.
Power on highway is good. Heated seats.
Fuel economy needs to be higher. Seat
heater switches could be relocated to
prevent inadvertent turn on. Seat frame
could be lowered to allow taller
drivers to use visors and still see out.

Bought when model just came out, and
got lots of stares for a few weeks -
now see Libbys everywhere. Been
pleased with performance, fun factor,
and ability to pull a trailer.
Limited off road use, would like to
have more wheeling experiences. No
problems, other than recalls.
Infinity sound, ease of getting in and
out, having 4-wheel drive in winter
and when launching boat.
Wish rear seats folded flat. Better
comfort for front seats would be

Have less than 19,000 miles on this
jeep and it just got towed to the
dealership again. First at 13,000 the
waterpump went out and the serpentine
belt broke while going 70 on a 2 lane
road. Very Scary. Then at 18,000 the
heat went out, took it in a got some
recall item fixed at the same time.
Diamler-Chrysler sucks. Maybe I am
spoiled by Hondas. Had 3 w/ 250,000+
miles w/ 0 problems. Last Jeep I ever
buy. Let you know my recent prob.
6 speaker infinity. Controls on back
Quality control. Build Quality. More
room. Not much up front. If you are
over 5'8" you will be cramped.
