I gave it a shot and what a disappointment.
This review should be taken as a notice for anyone that decides to purchase a product from FAC/Stellantis My issues are regarding my Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve, brand-new, over a year. 1st Problem – March 28 (in the shop for 8 days) – TOW EVENT. The vehicle stopped IN AN ACTIVE INTERSECTION! Complaint: 4x4 and check engine light on – burnt smell in the cab, throttle sluggish. Repair: Vacuum line / ECM 2nd Problem – April 14 (in the shop for 32 days) – TOW EVENT Complaint: Vehicle lost all power while driving, throttle, brake control, all systems shut off. – Vehicle had to be towed to dealership. Repair: Jeep needed a whole new catalytic converter 3rd Problem – May 22 (in the shop for 25 days) – TOW EVENT Complaint: Jeeps front suspension unable to raise, rear suspension raised, and unable to lower. Air suspension light on. Repair: Air suspension shocks Other “small” issues that came up over the summer. • Air suspension at time raises to Off-Road height 1 without being engaged. • Loud crackling sound in front end when braking, no issues with break response. • Rear seat belt does not buckle. • Infotainment system requires reset, systems shuts-off sporadically. • In dash display when it map guidance mode is on, at times goes blank during navigation • Leak at passenger side window/door 68 days until last major incident 4th Problem: Oct 6 – TOW EVENT – Again, the vehicle stopping in an active intersection. Complaint: Vehicle on road travelling and lost all power, throttle, brake control, all systems shut off. Unable to engage hazards, unit started smoking – tow truck driver unable to engage neutral without manually forcing the vehicle. Repair: Service Manager advised, they could not start the vehicle, needed a new starter, alternator, batteries and an ENTIRE NEW TRANSMISSION! During this whole ordeal, I’ve had trips disrupted, and multiple loaner vehicles. This brand new Jeep was in the shop for more than 120 days, over 8 months. Since the last repair, the dealer as well as Stellantis has gone silent because everything was a warrantable repair and where I live there are no lemons laws. I’ve since gotten rid of the vehicle, taking a loss, but if you have no confidence in the vehicle you’re driving, get rid of it.

Do not be fooled! Build quality is TRASH
I had been shopping around for a new vehicle and was so impressed by how gorgeous the 2024 GC Summit Reserve was especially in the Rocky Mountain Grey over Tupelo interior. I ended up finding one brand new $15,000 under MSRP about 10 hours away so I excitedly drove out to get it. Not even 5 months later and only 6,000 miles on the vehicle, I noticed small drops of water leaking through the sunroof. Then water came out of the microphone vent over the passenger seat and the car has a distinct musty smell to it. Jeep corporate has been zero help and I have decided to bite the bullet and kiss off $10,000 in losses to just get rid of this heap of junk. There is a serious design flaw in that they did not use any trim pieces around where the headliner connects to the ceiling so in this case, water indeed got behind the headliner and I have no idea how long this has been going on for. Once again, this car is brand new, 5 months old and has a sticker price of $71,000. Truly the worst choice I could have made and please learn from my mistake and buy ANYTHING else. Jeep has accomplished the impossible and made a Range Rover appear to be reliable. The dealer network is absolute garbage, with no fixes and no loaner cars. The service manager had the audacity to tell me I would need to rent a car from Enterprise at $55 a day but they also are not sure of a solution to this issue AND they are not sure how much damage has been done. The warranty is absolutely useless and while the interior is gorgeous, I promise a musty odor and damp sensation will make it less appealing. I truly hope others can learn from my mistakes and I understand now why the vehicles are leaving the lot with such huge incentives - the market is the best gauge for this. I would never buy another Stellantis product again, in fact, I would not even recommend one to my worse enemy. As if the interior leak was not bad enough, when I brought it home from the dealership, I noticed the car looked a little off in ride height. I grabbed my level and sure enough - the air suspension is malfunctioning as the vehicle is dipping to the passenger side about 3 degrees. Once again, this car is 5 months old and has less than 6,000 miles. With this insanely poor build quality, I would be shocked if it even makes it to it's first oil change! Please save yourself the $10,000 mistake that I made, you would be better off just standing in your front yard lighting hundred dollar bills on fire instead of wasting time and money on this steaming heap of [non-permissible content eremoved]. No wonder Stellantis is laying off workers and slashing their prices, they truly are not even a tenth of the company Jeep used to be and I would never recommend a single product. Save yourself! Don't be ignorant like I was - I thought oh this is just a few people with some bad luck. WRONG - these things are a pile, I have truly never had a less reliable car in my life. Their issues absolutely need to be investigated for a class action lawsuit but until then, please steer clear. Just about any other vehicle is far better and will offer you the absolute least in terms of being able to survive rain or the car wash.

jeep junk
i purchased a new 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee in December 2024. After driving only 800 miles, it stopped running. AAA brought it to my nearest Jeep dealer for repair. Three weeks later, it is still not fixed. A Jeep trouble shooter tech could not figure it out either. I want to trade it in and contacted Jeep customer service for help to pay for the new trade in, but they refused to give any compensation. Overall Jeep has been a good product, but if you get a bad one, you are on your own with no help from Jeep. Very disappointed!!
Stunning, But a Total Lemon at 300 Miles
Great looks and drive, but totally unreliable with very weak customer support, based on our experience. Wouldn’t consciously recommend this car to my parents, friends, or anyone… maybe to my enemies. Brand-new 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve, stunning car, but ours died at 300 miles due to a major electrical defect. Jeep forced invasive repairs, but it failed again. Obvious lemon. In our experience, Jeep Wave has been helpless. Jeep Retention is stalling—no callbacks, no emails, and preemptively labeled us ‘High Risk’ in their system. They dismissed a rightful replacement or buyback, instead pushing lowball offers and arbitration, disregarding consumer protection rights. This is Stellantis’ (FCA) failure. If you’re in a similar situation: Hire a lawyer, file with the Attorney General, and demand your rights. Unethical. Unacceptable. How is this happening in the U.S.? The Good: - Beautiful inside and out (Summit Reserve) - Great features—massage seats, McIntosh sound system, etc. - True SUV with air suspension—not just another crossover - Comfortable family ride with smooth and responsive driving dynamics (V6) - Good value and safety, on paper - Made in the USA The Bad: - Inconsistent reliability (hit or miss) - Steep depreciation - Weak customer support - Lack of commitment to consumer protection rights - Our dealer has expressed frustration with Stellantis/FCA

Horrible reliability, quality, service, AVOID!!!
Been a Jeep fan my entire life. This will be my last stellantis product ever. It’s such a shame what they did to Jeep. 5 days after buying my grand Cherokee, the battery was dead. We tried jumping it, still wouldn’t start, so it got towed to the dealer. They replaced the batteries and sent us on our way. Two weeks later, same thing, battery is dead and we have to get it towed. This time they “did an update” and knock on wood the problem for this hasn’t happened since. But instead we get 5 other new problems. So I’ve noticed there are some very weird electrical glitches happening since I bought this car. Some times it just doesn’t start and says no key fob detected even though both fobs are in the car. We have to let it sit for hours and then hope it starts again. Dealership doesn’t even care when I try talking to them about it. They claim this is a “normal” issue on grand Cherokee’s. So if you buy one do not expect it to start every time you want to drive it. Because it more than likely will have a dead battery or just decide to not recognize the key fobs. Next, my sunroof is leaking and it’s been back for the dealership 3 times for this. Water drips in the front from the microphones. Dealership dropped headliner and replaced the drain tubes. I get the car back and the entire headliner looks horrible. Misaligned, parts missing, parts backwards, panels not popped into place, it was just complete garbage. Took it back to dealer again and they had to redo the entire job, and even now I still question if it’s even correct because to me some panels looks misaligned still. They claim I bought it like this. So a brand new Jeep with misaligned panels inside. But it gets even better. I’m looking at the outside of my Jeep and some of the exterior gaps are unequal and not aligned properly. And after researching I guess this is a common issue on these Jeeps. Unacceptable on a brand new car. Also some other quality problems, include super weak air conditioning. On a hot day, the AC cannot keep up and after researching this, this is also an issue with these Jeeps. And by the way, the limited trim does not have a standard auto dim review mirror now. You get a flip up tab, like you’re in a 90s hoop tie. 50k+ car and the mirror is not auto dimming. That is a joke. Unacceptable for the price I payed on this vehicle. Keep in mind also, every time you take it in to the dealership, it’s a headache and a fight to get them to fix it right and also get a loaner car. This car has been the biggest headache, and I will be trading it in asap and will never buy another stellantis product, ever. My old grand Cherokee did not have nearly as many issues as the new one. AVOID AVOID AVOID like the plague! Save yourself the headache.
