Used 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Consumer Reviews
Could be better
Hoping 2005 was just an off year. Mine has been back to the dealer 4 or 5 times for different items like the tire pressure monitor and the air bag light continuing to have problems. Then the 5 cent knob on the GPS guide broke and they had to order a new radio (the whole unit), not to mention the brake rotors warping and getting replaced under warranty. Other than that it's fine.
Jeep - the only true SUV
Have owned a 2004 Laredo before owning the Limited - this vehicle was a 4-wheel drive SUV before anyone else ever had one. This is by and far the best 4-wheel drive vehicle out there.
- Laredo 4dr SUVMSRP: $2,95011 mi away
- Limited 4dr SUVMSRP: $4,495119 mi away

Wouldn't Buy One Again
Too expensive on gas. Decent SUV for the price, however, it's just good for now. I only wish that I had known the gas mileage would be so poor. The pickup on the car is not great. Also has a tendency to seem as though it is not going to make it to the right gear.
Jury Still Out
We bought the 2005 Laredo 4x4 with a V8 engine. The gas cost is unbelievable! I didn't think it would be this bad. I can't seem to get the mpg up to more than 14.7. Otherwise, the car is fun to drive and handles well. It's very roomy and comfortable.
2005 Jeep
I love it. I've had the Wrangler and the Liberty and now the Grand and the ride is great. I'll never go back to the Wrangler or Liberty!
