Used 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Consumer Reviews
Great SUV
I absolutely love this vehicle. Very reliable SUV, although the rear axle was replaced after 2 years but was covered by warranty. It never left me stranded even in the deepest snow of Buffalo. The only complaint is that it is a little "wobbly" for some passengers. Overall it was worth every penny. And what a great re-sale value, if I can ever bear to part with it. (I've read a lot about the rotors, I have 43,000 miles on same rotors; no problem).
Don't buy a Jeep
I have had more problems with my Jeep than with any other vehicle I have owned.

Very Disappointed
I purchased this vehicle in 2004 with 19k miles. I thought I was getting a great vehicle for the price. Turns out the saying is true "You get what you pay for." In 2005, I had to have the cooling engine fan replaced (thanks for the extended warranty that was purchased but still had to pay). In 2006, I had the exact same problem- cooling fan replaced. In 2007, the hood struts went bad along with the gas cap that had to be replaced. In 2008, I had to have get the transmission rebuilt. The driver side window will not work nor will the left tail light (new bulbs, still doesn't work). I am not FIXING another thing, I'm getting rid of this piece of junk. To date this vehicle ONLY has 66,800 miles!!
Happy With Purchase
We purchased our '02 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo two years ago with 22K on the clock. Have had no major problems with vehicle, only thing that did happen was the drivers side window came off the track and had to be replaced. We bought the extended warranty to 80K so we were covered. Will be trading it in on a used Suburban - not because we are unhappy with the Jeep, we just need more room. We will miss it!
Reliable SUV
Strong SUV, feel very secure and very reliable. Negative: No futuriste gadget (GPS), no lock on gaz system, expensive to maintain in good codition
