Second Time Around
We purchased our second Jeep in Sept. of this year having owned our first ('90 Cherokee Pioneer) for 11 years and 200,000 miles. Our new 2001 GC Laredo has performed flawlessly for the first 10,000 miles. Compared to our fisrt, it has a much smoother ride and a much more comfortable interior. We are very happy we decided to buy another Jeep.
Don't bother extending the warranty....
As has been the case with past reviews, this vehicle needs brakes once a year. Find a person who knows brakes or you'll have ample opportunity to learn to fix them yourself. Gas mileage is average.

Great Experience
My 2001 Limited is great. The exterior styling is sharp while the interior quality is exceptional. I've owned 28 vehicles since I started driving and this is one of the best vehicles that I have owned. And no...my previous fleet did not include Gremlins, Pintos or Ygos! My Jeep experience has ranked up there with my Infiniti and Lexus experiences.
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Excellent ride.. Mechanical problems happen much too early. Problem with brakes....
JEEPERS CREEPERS
This vehicle has given me nothing but grief since I bought. I bought it brand new, and have continusly had to bring it into the shop for repairs.when you take it in shop, they will not provide you with a loaner vehicle. All my repairs for the most part were warranty covered. But I have had major problems with the brake system. And had replace my brakes 2 times a year, plus my rotors. I know I drive a lot, but this vehicle is suppose to be top quality. It's a car, its made to be driven, and it just. first place. I will never in my life ever buy a Jeep again. I make sure if anyone I know is even thinking about it, that they know what a POS this car is.
