With traction control on, the car stumbles for a half-beat then digs in and goes! Upshifts are quick and pretty harsh. The car is still accelerating hard at the end of the quarter-mile. With traction control off, it's very difficult to launch, with tire spin at both the bottom and top of 1st gear.
Noisy racket coming from front suspension (not ABS controller), but straight and consistently short stops. Minimal dive with firm pedal.
Slalom: Blazingly quick turn-in and good front bite. Somewhat stiffly damped in "Dynamic" mode, which makes it unhappy with the dip in the track. Feels grippy but not trustworthy, like a Corvette, with an edgy personality in the rear. Requires delicate throttle control to maintain control. Skid pad: Given the "twitchy" feeling in the slalom, I was surprised at the amount of understeer on the skid pad. Good, but not great, grip with slightly vague steering info. Big difference between stability control on and off.
