2004 Jaguar X-Type Sedan 2.5 4dr AWD Sedan (2.5L 6cyl 5M)

Review

I drove nearly every car under $40,000
that had AWD
before getting a 2.5L w/ manual. (Merc
C
class, BMW 325 / 330
xi's, Mitsu Evo VIII, Volvo S40-FWD,
then AWD, and
Infiniti G35x). X-type had the most
exciting and
classic exterior and interior styling,
the most standard equipment, and IMO
the best compromise of
comfort/handling (handles Boston
potholes admirably) among these
choices, while offering in the manual
xmissions the most fun driving
experimence. Only exceeded by Volvo in

Best Features

AWD, safety features, styling, good acceleration and torque felt in standard transmission, and price.

Worst Features

an even stiffer suspension (available on the Sport trim) on the base model.

2004 Jaguar X-Type Sedan 2.5 4dr AWD Sedan (2.5L 6cyl 5M)

Review

Great car. surprisingly good in snow
and rain. i did slide off the road
once in ice, but that was probably
because i was a bit overconfident.

Best Features

The front end looks great. interior is nice, though i could do with more wood.

Worst Features

Too much road noise from a luxury vehicle. more than others in its class, i believe. also, gotta come up with another cup holder for us americans

2004 Jaguar X-Type Sedan 2.5 4dr AWD Sedan (2.5L 6cyl 5M)

Review

I just love my new x-type 2.5 liter. I
love everything about except that I
wish that I had purchased the 3.0
liter instead. My friend has the 3.0
liter and it has the punch that I
wanted. I love everything else about
the car and have no complaints here.

Best Features

Everything.

Worst Features

Jag should improve horsepower and torque on 2.5 liter and also improve tire size on the 2.5 liter.

2004 Jaguar X-Type Sedan 3.0 4dr AWD Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 5A)

Review

I purchased my X-type 6 months
ago and it has been pleasure ever
since. It is great on the commute
between different parts of L.A. and It
has 15000 miles on it already. The
ride is very smooth and stable and
the interior is very warm and inviting.
The car does a steady 90 mph
without hesitation and the wood and
leather trim interior is perfect. The
words summed up for the x-type are
S-T-Y-L-E.

Best Features

My favorite features are the reverse park control, the auto headlamps and also the supple leather and genuine wood trim. Feels like a Bentley or a Rolls-Royce. I also love the attention I get from others.

Worst Features

The back seat should be bigger which is a normal size when compared to MBs C class or Audis A4.

Review

I bought this car back in March and am
completely satisfied with this
vehicle. To have a car of this class
for the near giveaway price is
something to speak of.
