This is the worst luxury (?) car I have ever had. Never know what is going to fail next. How can Jaguar get away with such an awful car? I have spent thousands repairing this car. Do yourself a favor and buy something else. Anything else.
This is perhaps the best looking sedan ever made. The four round headlights and complimenting hood, surrounding a classic "tennis racket" shaped grille are distinct and perfect. The stance of the car makes it look ready to pounce. Pounce it does, with the powerful, smooth and modern 8. Jag got all the compromises right. Ride quality and handling are both superb without a bias toward one at expense of the other. The handling will greatly satisfy but the ride pampers, not punish. The power of the engine is always more than adequate, without need for high reving hysteria. Best, the Jag is as sexy as a sports coupe but works very well as a family sedan. Classic look and quality will age well.
The cachet and allure of a sports coupe with the practicality of a well-sized sedan.
The interior benefited from the upgrades in materials and improved ergonomics, new seats, as car has evoved since introduction in 2000, but even the originals are quite good. The newest interiors are nothing short of sumptuous. Don't bother with the nav on older models, its nearly unreadable.
While a great looking and driving car,
the quality and reliability
(=maintenance expense) for this
$50,000+ luxury car is bitterly
disappointing. Ownership costs for
maintenance alone exceeds $2000 per
year - from basic manufacturing
defects. Ford does not stand behind
this product. Consequently, I've
purchased my last Ford product.
Build a reliable car. Window falls out
of track; cooling system fails; $1400
to repair a defective tail light; $1300
to replace valve cover gasket and
repair coil damage; etc etc. Show some
respect for customer loyalty.
Great car! This car is awesome to drive
and tons of fun. It has a terrific body
style. The only problem I have had is
getting it out of park at times, and if
it sits on even the slightest incline,
it becomes very difficult to get out of
park. I have been told this is a common
problem with this model.
Driving. This car has awesome handling
and takes curves with ease, and the body
does not lean around curves.
I also love the ability to roll down the
windows and sunroof with the key remote.
See above regarding gear shift.
I also was told the radio and other
features were user friendly, but this
was a joke...it is the least user
friendly of any car I have ever owned.
