Used 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe Consumer Reviews
Penny's Comments
This has been a great vehicle that is roomy, comfortable and gets great gas mileage. This is my second Hyundai and I am very pleased with it performance and features offered.
No longer a minivan Mom!
We looked at the Trib, the CRV, and the Escape, and it was close between the SF and the Escape, but the truck-like ride in the Ford wouldn't do for the long hauls. The kids have room in the back seat, we're comfortable in the front seat, there's room in the back for all our stuff; everyone's happy. My Dad, a mechanic, drove my SF and likes it better than his 2001 Highlander, which cost $4K more! What a cool looking vehicle!! I think it's the best design on the road, hands down. With the old Hyundai rep, I was wary of trying one. Now that I've bought the SF, it's pretty clear that they're serious about competing in the market. I'm converted!

New CEO is a genius!
Hyundai used to suck...bad! Then they got a new CEO and viola! Major changes took place. If this vehicle is any indication of the rest of their lineup, Hyundai will be a major player in just a few more years. We have approximately 10,000 miles on our Santa Fe already and not a single problem to note. We tested the Escape, Liberty, and others. I then convinced my wife to test the Santa Fe just to be thourough in our research. We were both floored by the quality of the vehicle, the price, the warranty, standard features, etc., etc. IMHO, there is simply no better value out there.
Checked them all
I tried every small and mid-size suv on the market. For the money, the Santa Fe has them all beat. It drives better than all but the Rav4 and the Forester, but comes in a V-6. It's bigger too, with more features. The only worry is whether it will be reliable, but with a 100K mile warranty, I'm hoping this won't matter much.
thrifty me
I first saw this car at a car show a couple years ago and was so excited! An suv I can afford! Then reality hit... but its a Hyundai. One afternoon I was listening to "the car guys" show and he talked about the bad rap this make of car has and that it is too bad because now, people are missing out on a gem. It was time to get a car and I did my research for months. Noone offered what Hyundai was offering. Found a base model on sale for 15,990. For this price, you get so much. I drive around feeling I have this best kept secret. I love this car. Even my beautiful base model.
