2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Grand Touring 2dr Coupe w/Navigation (3.8L 6cyl 6M)

Review

At $27k OTD, the 3.8 Grand Touring is a fantastic car if bought for the right reasons. The suspension and seats are very firm (yes, even non- Track versions)- this, coupled with road noise, can make long trips tiring. Performance, handling, and visibility are top-notch and the interior is well appointed with excellent design, fit, and finish. Nav w/ integrated stereo is awesome for Ipod/music control but screen is a touch too small for the nav. The clutch and 6-spd are VERY quirky making the car very difficult to drive smoothly- would DEFINITELY recommend the automatic even though I am a 6-spd lover. Overall, VERY fun to drive around town but not a long-distance cruiser. Would buy it again.

Best Features

Power, visibility, handling, and braking are all tops. Nav w/ Ipod controls is intuitive and easy to use. Open sunroof is very quiet, even at highway speed. The camel-colored leather of the GT is gorgeous- head rests are tops. Everything is within easy reach in cockpit. Very quiet for WIND noise.

Worst Features

SOUND ISOLATION FROM ROAD NOISE!!! Clutch is very quirky- gear ratios are almost too close. Hood is slightly misaligned with fenders. Rear seat vents to reduce front-to-rear convection currents in cold weax- you can feel cool air moving around. Soften the ride a bit. Ipod discharges when car is off.

2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T Premium 2dr Coupe (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6M)

Review

Love my Genesis Coupe; I purchased the 2.0T premium last August and upgraded to leather heated seats (love em). I was in a head on collision this week, hit a SUV that came across my lane at about 50 mph - I got out of the car and walked away w/out a scratch (people in SUV had to be taken by ambulance). Very pleased with the safety. I will be looking for another one. Fun to drive - some road noise on highway but that is the same with most sports cars. Highly recommend the Genesis Coupe.

Best Features

safety features, seats, everything!

Worst Features

doors automatically lock when you start it or when put in gear.

2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Grand Touring 2dr Coupe w/Navigation (3.8L 6cyl 6M)

Review

Love the car overall but it does have limitations. Car handles and drives great and looks even better. Love the saddle leather interior though seats are very firm. Ride is a little rough, when coupled with road noise makes any trip over an hour tiresome with back/butt aches. GT was $27k out the door (incl the $500 military rebate), VERY well equipped for the price. Cockpit feel is great with everything within easy reach but has limited storage. Clutch is VERY hard to master- HATE IT! Very difficult to shift smoothly w/o skipping gears to improve smoothness(i.e. going 1-3-5 or 2-4-6 instead of 1,2,3,4...). Was a die-hard 6-spd guy, now I'm cured. Nav is easy to use but screen is a tad bit small

Best Features

Great visibility for a sports coupe. Nav is easy to use and love the integrated Ipod/stereo controls. Car handles like it's on rails with solid braking and acceleration. Love the cockpit feel with everything in reach. Love the keyless entry with push- button start. Also like the Home Link system.

Worst Features

Clutch/6-spd stinks!! Shoulda bought the auto. Definitely needs MUCH more sound isolation for road noise. Stereo sound isn't as high-end as I'd hoped. Ipod cable drains your Ipod while car is off- no big deal if you leave the Ipod in the car permanently but sucks if you don't. Poor fit around hood.

2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Grand Touring 2dr Coupe (3.8L 6cyl 6A)

Review

Genesis coupe may not win any awards for practicality, but it's a thrill to drive. Steers like a race car. On snow, this car handles better with rear wheel drive than some cars with front wheel drive. Must be because front tires are narrower than rear tires, and light weight engine causes center of gravity to be closer to rear traction wheels.

Best Features

keyless entry/push button start; exhaust sound; average 21 mpg; great winter traction; comfortable seats

Worst Features

blind side warning system

2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Grand Touring 2dr Coupe w/Navigation (3.8L 6cyl 6M)

Review

Out the door at $27k for 3.8 Grand Touring w/ 6-spd & nav. VERY powerful, handles great, and fun to drive. It rides a little rough compared to the avg sedan but that's to be expected- ensure you hit rough roads during your test drive or you may be disappointed. Seats become very hard and uncomfortable to the back/but after about an hour on the highway. Nav is easy to use, love all of the features on the GT- great value. A great city car, not so great if you need people/cargo or drive on crappy roads. Definitely turns heads. Makes you slightly taller, more intelligent, funnier, and lots more handsome. Love the car but it has limitations- not a good family car but a very fun toy for 2 adults.

Best Features

Nav with integrated audio/Ipod controls. Nav screen is somewhat small- could use a slightly larger screen. Ipod controls are very easy and intuitive with easy info access to find songs etc.

Worst Features

Could use more sound deadening, and perhaps a little more comfortable ride for the non-Track versions.
