2024 Hyundai Kona Limited 4dr SUV (1.6L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
Highly would not recommend this car.
It is a nice little car when it is running right. Drives well, handles well, and good in the snow.
But the problem arise when it comes to the Main Battery, Auxillary Battery, and the BCM.
Along with the fact that Hyundai Service Department where I live refuses to listen to the issues.
First it started with the Updates every 4 months completely … killing the battery and Hyundai claiming it was just a Update Recall, so, completely dead battery 4 times in less than a year because of an Update.
Next up, External Devices Slowly draining battery, not word on the cause of that.
Next, now the car keeps shutting down, and going completely dark. All exterior lights, interior lights all go out, the radio goes out, windshield wipers go out. So, basically everything that you need to drive at night like I do, goes completely dark.
Done research and it due to the Aux Battery located in the back passenger seat being drained, and the BCM failing because of the Aux Battery.
But, Hyundai refuses to acknowledge me and actually check the Aux Battery to verify that it is the cause.
