2007 Honda Fit Hatchback Sport 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl 5A)

Review

Very cheap carpeting! Freeway road noise more than I would like. Gas mileage in town is poor- 27-29. Hwy 36 with Sport A/T. (I drive very carefully!) Wish seat was a couple inches higher off floor and I really miss passenger armrest. Seems to be great variance in mpg among Fit owners from online chat rooms. Mine idles at 9-10 mph consistently. Was told that's correct. Very short on small storage spaces.

Best Features

Really fun to drive. Handles very nicely. Good all around visibility. Great versatility for carrying things.

Worst Features

Improve the quality of the carpeting, arm rests, more small storage spaces, seat a couple inches higher off floor with more padding, more lumbar support, lessen road noise on freeway. Better gas mileage, especially in town!

Review

I love this car! After researching for a year and having to deal with an unreliable BMW this car is terrific. The quality of build is great, handles well in the mountains, ice, snow, and rain. On rougher roads it is quite noisy in the cabin but quiets on smoother surfaces, could use some insulating material to dampen the noise. I opted for the all weather mats and cargo tray which are very helpful having a dirt/gravel driveway, they are very easy to clean. The heater works well, have yet to fully try the A/C in hot weather. Great versatility in seat designs, went to the store and brought home 2 boxed shelf units and 2 adirondack chairs with a few bags and groceries also!

Best Features

Versatility, sticks to the road well during questionable conditions, handling.

Worst Features

Insulating the cab better for soundproofing on rough roads and engine noise. The engine noise isn't bad but compared to my BMW, which I know it isn't, it is quite noisy accelerating.

Review

This car is great around town or on the highway. Very fun to drive, especially in manual mode with the paddle shifters. Good audio system. Great hybrid or small SUV alternative!Seats are attractive and comfortable. All controls are easy to find and have a certain panache to them-especially the gauge cluster with looks like it belongs in a much more expensive car. Love the leather wrapped steering wheel too! Great car for the money. Interior layout with the "magic seats" are just that-magic! The exterior looks, although a little funky, grows on you with time and the car is much better looking in person than in photographs. A very fun car! I look forward to many years of economical driving.

Best Features

Responsive throttle and steering. Interior volume. "Magic seats"

Worst Features

Add a temp gauge or sunroof option. A little more power from the engine.

Review

After a lot of research and thought, I traded in my 2005 Subaru Baja for a leaner gas minded Honda Fit. The interior is actually roomier and the ride is just as smooth. The noise factor, however, is a disappointment in that the Fit has a loud engine and is not as quiet in terms of outside noise. I love the paddle shifters on my sport model, as well as the rear wiper, fantastic stereo system, easy to use and reach controls, bright dash lights and open window plan allowing lots of light. The controls are solid and feel expensive. No problems with acceleration or high speed. So far, it has handled well in the snow and rain, which was a big concern for me living in Upstate NY and giving up the AWD.

Best Features

Gas mileage, handling, contols, ride, rear wiper, stereo, paddles, interior design, safety features, design.

Worst Features

Add a thermometer and an arm rest as standard features. Ride is loud and should be quieter. Give AWD option. Give a peppier engine option (though the 109 horses is fine for most).

Review

With summer gas prices looming, I was looking for a vehicle that got good mileage yet was still fun to drive. The Honda Fit "fit" my needs better than the competition. I really love the exterior styling. I get about 34 mpg combined city/hwy. It handles great and sticks to the road well. Safety features are second to none. The bad thing about the car is it isnt too comfortable for long drives. No armrest and gas pedal position cramps my foot. Road noise is more than expected on the highway and you have to floor it to accelerate uphill.

Best Features

Big headlights.

Worst Features

Arm rest. Adjustable pedals and telescoping steering wheel.
